Niccy has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, but only over the last few years has it become an integral part of her life. She loves the benefits of yoga and how yoga can be useful everyday. Practicing yoga has given Niccy a feeling of more time and less stress, despite increasing commitments with work and her 4 children! She is passionate about sharing the nurturing and balancing aspects of yoga with kids and adults alike, including the important transition stages of pregnancy and the post natal period.
Particular emphasis is placed on working within the individual changing needs, encouraging people to be true to themselves within their practice, taking into account their physical, mental and emotional aspects that may change on a day to day basis.
Her teaching embodies the yamas and niyamas, (yoga ethics,) both in the poses and how they can be applied to everyday life.
Understanding how you can work with and developing what you have to create balance and harmony.
Her children's classes help develop awareness and understanding of how individual body works through poses, and to nurture the natural mindfulness of the child through concentrating and simple meditation.
She believes that the skills learnt in yoga enable children and adults alike to navigate through the increasing complexity of life.
